Coronation Street's Craig was the toast of Weatherfield fans on Friday night as the trainee police officer went undercover to obtain a confession from villain Neil Clifton.
It was another nail-biting double episode in the harrowing storyline which has seen teenage character Bethany (played by Lucy Fallon) groomed by boyfriend Nathan Curtis and raped by Police Constable Clifton.

With Curtis now in custody, Clifton (actor Ben Cartwright) threatened Bethany and warned her of the consequences for her family if she revealed the truth.
But when Bethany told best friend Craig (Colson Smith) about what Clifton had done, he decided to take matters into his own hands in a bid to bring him to justice.

Clifton had been assigned as mentor to trainee Craig, but in Friday night's gripping episodes the youth used his soft nature to his advantage to get the upper hand and make Clifton's temper boil over.
What Clifton didn't realise was that Craig had been recording their conversation on his phone.
