It is one of the great questions of the ages - what's better, Star Wars or Star Trek? Now an argument about lightsabers versus phasers and The Force versus Vulcan logic has ended in an assault in Oklahoma City.
A discussion between two men in the US town over the merits of the two franchises turned ugly and resulted in the arrest of 23-year-old Jerome Whyte.
ABC News reports that Whyte and his roommate began to argue over the all-important question and when his sci-fi loving roomie walked off and said to Whyte, "You're just a trick." Whyte pushed him to the ground and began choking him.
"At this point, the victim was fearing for his life and he reached for a pocket knife on his night stand," the official police report said.
Whyte was cut by the knife and fled and was later deemed the aggressor in the fight. He was arrested for assault. He also had outstanding warrants, including for possession of marijuana.
The Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office says he remains in custody on a $4,000 bond and has a preliminary hearing set for July 27.
