Angelina Jolie has purchased a six-bedroom house reportedly priced at $25 million (€22,300,000) just five minutes away from her former husband Brad Pitt.

According to Daily Mail Online, the actress will share the mansion with the couple’s six children, namely Maddox, 15, Pax, 13, Zahara, 12, Shiloh, 10, and twins Vivienne and Knox, eight.

The star couple’s 12-year marriage ended last September when Jolie filed for divorce. Pitt has been been busy promoting his new film War Machine in which he plays an overly-cocky general who leads a risky Afghanistan mission.

The actor is also believed to be working long hours on sculptural projects under the guidance of British artist Thomas Houseago. The sculpting is presumably bound up with therapy sessions he has been undergoing for his alcohol problems.

Pitt continues to live in the Los Feliz, California estate which he has described as his kids' "first real childhood home."

A giant tree was recently delivered to the property with the help of ten workers and Pitt has been making other refurbishments. The 53-year old  American actor had purchased the residence for $1.7 million (€1.5m) in July 1994.

Over the next 22 years, a period which included twelve years of marriage to Jolie, the estate spread to take in five nearby properties.
