Demi Moore has admitted that stress caused her to knock out her two front teeth.

The 54-year-old actress made the shock admission while promoting her new movie, Rough Nights, on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

She also shared a picture of herself without one of her dentures, telling Fallon that she "literally knocked it out".

Moore said: "I sheared off my front teeth. I'd love to say it was skateboarding or something really kind of cool, but I think it's something that's important to share because I think it's literally, probably after heart disease, one of the biggest killers in America, which is stress.

"I literally knocked it out. I knocked it out. It was almost like it fell out and my warranty was up."

"Thank God for modern dentistry!" she added.

Last month Moore was named in a wrongful death lawsuit by the parents of 21-year-old Edenilson Steven Valle, who died during a July 2015 party at her Beverly Hills home. He was found drowned in her backyard pool.

Moore was out of town during the tragic accident.
