Security at this weekend's Forbidden Fruit Festival in Dublin has been tightened following the recent terrorist attack in Manchester in which 22 people were killed at an Ariana Grande concert in the city.
The highly-anticipated three-day music and comedy event, which takes places at The Royal Hospital Kilmainham this weekend will have extra security measures in place, and concert-goers are urged not to bring backpacks or any large bags with them.
Speaking to RTÉ Entertainment, festival booker Dec Forde said authorities are happy with their safety plans and procedures that will be in place at the festival.

"I guess it's very topical considering what happened in Manchester in the last week. We've had a lot of meetings to check the safety procedures and we've liaised with Dublin City Council and the Gardaí over emergency planning.
"We're recommending that people don't bring in large bags or backpacks. All bags will be searched which has always been our procedure."
The authorities are happy with the procedures we have in place. We have a very experienced site safety and management team in place.

Similarly, the 3Arena released an update on its new security procedures before Shawn Mendes' gig at the dockside venue on Tuesday night.
The venue also announced that backpacks and larger bags or purses would not be allowed into the venue as part of revised security restrictions.

Now in its seventh year, the Bulmers Forbidden Fruit festival is continuing to spread the love as it evolves - and this year it's all about the inflatable church.
"We have the inflatable church. We wanted to bring a bit of fun to the festival," Forde said.
If people want to get married or find love there or finally get around to proposing to their partners they've been with for years they can.
Headliners for the Bulmers Forbidden Fruit Festival include Orbital, Aphex Twin, Bon Iver, Booka Shade, Tycho, Jax Jones, Hot Chip (DJ Set), Snakehips, Fatima Yamaha and many, many more.
It was announced on Thursday that only a limited amount of day tickets remain.
