Pippa Middleton sealed her society wedding to hedge fund manager James Matthews with a kiss as they left the picturesque St Mark's church in Berkshire on Saturday.

The Press Association reports that the nuptials between Middleton and Matthews were witnessed by family, close friends and famous faces including tennis star Roger Federer and wife Mirka, Princess Eugenie, the Duke and the Duchess of Cambridge.

Prince Harry was also among the congregation at the 12th century church in Englefield but there was no sign of his US actress girlfriend Meghan Markle.

Security was tight at the wedding

After the ceremony, the newly-weds walked hand-in-hand from the church and posed for the waiting press before sharing a lingering kiss at the gate as their married life began.

The bride, who is the younger sister of Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, wore a bespoke Giles Deacon wedding gown, crafted to create the impression of being seamless.

After the ceremony, the bride and groom led the way for their wedding guests to the nearby Englefield House, where a champagne reception was staged in its long gallery.

Security was tight with a large number of security personnel on duty. The road approaching the church was blocked off to those not involved with events and there were reports of a sniper in the church's bell tower.
