Cheryl Tweedy has reverted to her birth surname and has finally relinquished all links to her ex-husband Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini.

The 33-year-old singer is still often referred to as Cheryl Fernandez-Versini even though the couple officially separated three years ago, and even referred to herself in first name terms only in recent times.

Tweedy is now in a relationship with former One Director star Liam Payne, with whom she has a newborn son they decided to name Bear. (It could've been worse - imagine if the child was called Back Payne?).

Asked whether it annoys him to hear his girlfriend still referred to as either 'Cheryl Fernandez-Versini' or 'Cheryl Cole' in the press, Liam told BBC Radio 1Xtra's A.Dot:

"Her name is officially Cheryl Tweedy now, but to be honest it doesn't really bother me, we have a kid together, there's a lot more to our life."

Cheryl Tweedy is, of course, the name most fans knew her by when she first rose to fame as a member of the hugely-successful Girls Aloud.

Her surname changed both privately and professionally when she married footballer Ashley Cole, and then again when she wed Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini. They split in 2014 and divorced last autumn.

None of this confusion would've happened, of course, had she kept her own name after getting married.
