Arrow star Stephen Amell braved a rainy Friday night in Dublin to watch the big derby between Bohemians and Shamrock Rovers at Dalymount Park.
The Canadian actor, who plays the lead character in the CW series (shown here on Sky 1) - a re-imagining of the DC comic-book hero Green Arrow - went on Facebook earlier in the day, looking for tips about his visit to Dublin.
"Hi Facebook!" he wrote. "Lets [sic] say that - hypothetically - I'm going to the Bohemian FC game in Dublin tonight. Are there any pubs nearby that serve Guinness?"
His request generated hundreds of replies, suggesting pubs as close to Dalymount as The Brian Boru and as far away as Limerick.
The big sports fan later confirmed to RTÉ Entertainment's John Byrne that he was indeed at the match - and cheering on the home team:
As the game went on, Amell really entered into the spirit of things with a tweet about sensing a Bohs comeback.
Smelling a @bfcdublin comeback. Also smelling Guinness, in my mustache.— Stephen Amell (@StephenAmell) May 12, 2017
However, his support did not push Bohs on to victory: Rovers were 2-0 winners on the night.
