Italian trance producer Robert Miles, famed for his 90s dance hit Children, has passed away from a mystery illness aged 47.
The DJ's iconic track Children reached number one in the charts in 12 countries across the globe in 1996, and peaked at number two in both Ireland and the UK.
"The tragic news of the death of a very talented artist of our time, makes me incredulous and upset," said his friend, Joe T Vannelli.
"I will miss the fights, brawls, criticism, judgements but especially your talent in finding sounds and melodies unparalleled."
DJs have been paying tribute to Miles in their droves since the announcement of his death.

Miles was born in 1969 in the Swiss town of Fleurier. His family relocated to Italy when he was a teenager.
Children saw Miles taking home the Best International Male Newcomer award at the 1997 BRITs. He also had some experience in the film world with his catchy track, Trance Shapes, which was on the soundtrack for 2002's The Bourne Identity.
After stepping away from the music industry, Miles founded Open Lab, a Balearic radio station that focused on a more experimental sound than he had released during the height of his fame.
Miles is thought to have been in dance music capital Ibiza, Spain, when he died.
