Stranger Things, Beauty and the Beast and Hidden Figures were among the winners at last night's first-ever MTV Movie & TV Awards.
Previously just a celebration of film, this year saw TV joining in the fun and Netflix's spooky nostalgia-fest Stranger Things came out on top in the Show of the Year category, while Millie Bobby Brown won the Best Actor in a Show award.
"I want to thank the cast and crew [of Stranger Things] for being my second family – you guys, I love you," Brown said while fighting back tears as she accepted her award.

The first eight episodes of the show saw Winona Ryder play a mother whose young son vanishes in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana in 1983.
After become one of the big word of mouth hits last year, a second series will land on Netflix later this year.
It was a similar story in the film end of things as Beauty and the Beast picked up the Movie of the Year award, while the film's star Emma Watson won the Best Actor in a Movie category.

Other notable winners included Taraji P Henson, who topped the Best Hero category for her role in the film Hidden Figures.
The Oscar nominated movie also picked up an award after being designated as the Best Fight Against the System.
Last month MTV confirmed that it had scrapped the male and female categories for its movie and TV awards show, instead opting for a single gender-neutral acting category that will be open to male and female actors.
The Oscars, Emmys and Baftas still feature separate categories for men and women, while in 2012 the Grammys eliminated the distinction between male and female performers.
