Taylor Swift is reportedly writing and recording her new album at the moment and "can't wait" to share it with her fans.
The Grammy-winning singer is currently hard at work recording her follow-up to 2014's hit album 1989, which explains her absence from red carpet events and minimal social media usage for the last while.
"Taylor has been writing and recording her new album in Nashville for the last several months," a source told E! News.
"She has been working on it around the clock and will be making an announcement soon. She is really excited about her new music and can't wait to share it with her fans."
"She has been entirely focussed on that and not much else," they added. "She has been 100% dedicated to making music the last few months and that's it."
Since February, Swift has only posted twice on her Instagram account, both times promoting her friends' new singles; Lorde's Green Light and Haim's Want You Back. Meanwhile, she has been silent on Twitter since January.

The Blank Space hitmaker penned a recent tribute to her good friend Ed Sheeran for Time magazine's 100 Most Influential People in the World list, where she praised him for creating "one of the most impressive self-made careers in music."
Swift is said to be looking forward to "reconnecting" with her group of friends when she has completed her record.
