Drama awaits three of the first women to arrive in the English colony of Jamestown in this eight-parter from the people who produced Downton Abbey.
Duty bound to marry the three men who have paid for their passage to the New World, Alice (Sophie Rundle), Verity (Niamh Walsh) and Jocelyn (Naomi Battrick) arrive in Jamestown, Virginia in 1619 with little idea of what the future holds or the disruption their arrival is about to bring to the colony.
They come full of adventure and ready for a fresh start but an unexpected event is about to strip Alice of all hope of a better life in Jamestown, while Verity starts to question her decision to join the settlement when she lays eyes on her husband to-be.
Jocelyn is quicker to settle into her new life, and following the arrival of the town’s new governor on the same ship, starts scheming to elevate her future spouse’s standing in Jamestown’s society.

Shaun of the Dead, 9.30pm, RTÉ2
A good laugh and ideal Friday night viewing, this British horror comedy stars the likes of Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Kate Ashfield, Lucy Davis, Dylan Moran and Bill Nighy.
Pegg stars as Shaun, an electronics salesman with no direction. After a bad day at work, his girlfriend breaks up with him, so he downs his sorrow with his best mate Ed (Nick Frost).
By the time he wakes up the next with a hangover morning, a zombie apocalypse has overwhelmed London.
He and Ed encounter two zombies in their garden and kill them with blows to the head. They form a plan to rescue Shaun's mother, Barbara, and Shaun's ex, Liz, and then wait out the crisis in the pub.

Hurt by his recent lack of interest, Eva tells Aidan that she won't be accompanying him to his business lunch. Overhearing, David suggests Aidan takes Maria instead. Maria is horrified, until David quietly points out she can have some fun at Aidan's expense.
At the lunch, Maria masquerades as Eva, regaling her audience with hilarious stories about Aidan. Aidan is fuming and orders her to leave.
Meanwhile, explaining to Tracy how her face is all over the news, Rob implores her to take Amy home – leaving him to go it alone. Fed up with being cooped up in the cottage, Amy sneaks out for a walk and phones Steve from a local phone box.
Will he garner enough information from her to discover her whereabouts? And how will Amy react when she returns to the cottage to find Rob?

At long last it's season two of this sci-fi series from Lana Wachowski, Grant Hill (The Matrix, Cloud Atlas) and J Michael Straczynski (Clint Eastwood’s Changeling, World War Z).
Sense8 is centred round eight characters, from different parts of the world, who experience a violent vision, and soon find themselves mentally connected by the experience.
In season two, dark forces continue to track the cluster of eight connected characters. The sensates will learn more about BPO, the secret organization searching for their cluster and others like them, and will work to protect themselves from this organization that is out to hunt and kill them.

It's the season finale and Crystal pressures Joyce to sort things out after the pool is contaminated with weedkiller.
As a result, all guests have to be evacuated, so she hastily arranges a trip to the circus, but Andre the circus manager fails to tell her that the acts are not available.
However, Bean, Mateo and Jacqueline come to the rescue and use their connections to help Joyce put on their own evening of show-stopping entertainment.
