Pick of the day
Home of the Year, 8.30pm, RTÉ One
People are obsessed with the interiors of other folks' homes. Mostly it's to make them feel good ('Oh my God - lookit those curtains!'), but in this show's case it usually inspires a lot of envy. How do they do it?
Having selected the finalists over the course of the last seven episodes, the judges must now determine the overall winner for this third season.
The homeowners come together for the very first time at Palmerstown House in County Kildare, where the judges will deliberate and ultimately crown the new winner of Home of the Year.

Movie Choice of the day
Ferris Bueller's Day Off, 9.00pm, 3e
So what if you're seen it a dozen times before, this is a teen movie that's one of the best from the celluloid stable of John Hughes, a director who had an unerring ability to capture the complicated process of growing up.
A young Matthew Broderick (we're talking 1986 here) stars in the eponymous role, playing a street-smart kid who finds it easy to outwit his parents and teachers so that he can spend a day dossing about in Chicago with his girlfriend and best mate.
Now that's an education.

Best On Demand/TV Catchup
Nashville, Sky Box Sets
Although it's long up and running on TG4 on Tuesdays, season five of this cracking country music drama starring Connie Britton and Hayden Panettiere finally kicks off on Sky Living tomorrow (Friday) night.
It's an ideal time then, to catch up on the first four seasons of a show that is both hugely entertaining and dangerously addictive. If you start watching tonight, you may be going to work without sleep tomorrow morning.
Britton and Panettiere respectively play country queen Rayna James and rising diva Juliette Barnes, but there's a wide range of characters and situations just waiting to entertain. And you don't have to like country music to get this show - but it sure helps.

Today's Guilty Pleasure
The Restaurant, 9.00pm, TV3
Broadcaster, lecturer and business man Anton Savage is stepping in into the kitchen for the final episode of wannabe chef show The Restaurant.
Hoping to add the title Head Chef to his long list of skills, he's no stranger to cooking, and admits that he’s fed groups of up to twelve. Resident critics Marco Pierre White and Tom Doorley are joined by guest judge, Catherine Fulvio.
One of the most expensive dishes in the history of The Restaurant, Dover sole with langoustines and beurre noisette (whatever they are), is served up as one of the main courses. Anton's not a cheap date so . . .
