Rihanna has been admonished by some of her fans after sharing photos of the Queen's head superimposed on her body on Instagram.
The 29-year-old Barbadian singer took to the social media site as the British monarch celebrated her 91st birthday over the weekend to share a series of four photos in which the Queen's head had been photoshopped on her body, wearing some seriously high-fashion outfits.
The first image showed the Queen's head on her body as she wore an all-green ensemble consisting of pointy thigh-high boots and a fur coat slung over her shoulders, along with the caption "be humble".
The second photo showed the Queen sporting sunglasses, cut-off denim shorts and an oversized red fur coat with the text: "y'all chickens is ash and I'm lotion".
Rihanna recycled a recent photo of herself at Coachella for the third in the bizarre series, which showed the Queen wearing a crown, bedazzled bodysuit and Gucci vest.
The last photo of the series showed the Queen's head superimposed on a photo of Rihanna wearing a jacket with nothing on underneath with the caption: "it's not that deep".
Some of Rihanna's 52.4 million Instagram followers didn't see the funny side of the tongue-in-cheek photos, with one saying she was "a stupid little girl".
"I don't appreciate this," said one, while another said: "This is so disrespectful."
The photographs were deemed "horrific and distasteful" by one commenter, while another follower offered: "You should be ashamed of yourself! Disgusting."
