Guns N’ Roses are back to rock Slane Castle this May and some of the rules for audience behaviour have changed just a little since the iconic band's last performance at the Co Meath venue 25 years ago.
All 80,000 tickets for the show sold out in just one day last December, adding to the more than two million tickets sold for the first part of their Not In This Lifetime tour, which took place in North and South America in 2016, grossing an estimated $200 million in the process.

The new Slane show will have some serious ground rules. Travelling fans have been told to be careful not to bring certain items along with them on the day. A few of the items banned from the venue include: Lightsabers, iPads, food, animals, backpacks, and selfie sticks.
In a statement released on Wednesday, promoters MCD said:
"All the above items will be confiscated and will not be returned."
"Anyone resisting confiscation of restricted items may be evicted."
"Pocket sized cameras are permitted for personal use only."
"Cameras with detachable telephoto lenses will not be allowed through arena entrances."
"MCD strongly advises that you do not buy tickets from unofficial sources. Do not rush to the exits after the concerts."
"Do not crowd surf/mosh, as you will be removed from the venue without a refund."

Also, this time things will be a tad different for the iconic rockers themselves as they’ve requested no alcohol to be present in the backstage area at the Slane show. This is slightly different than their 1992 gig, where bottles of Jack Daniels and cases of vodka were a must-have.
The Slane gig will kick off the tour’s European leg which will take in London, Paris, Madrid and 15 other cities around Europe before heading home to America to finish the tour.
