Country music superstar Charley Pride leads a star-studded line-up for this Friday's Late Late Show Country Special.

Last year's country offering was second only to the The Toy Show as the most-watched Late Late Show of the year

Topping this year's bill is Grammy-nominated star Pride, who has reached number 1 on the US Billboard charts an impressive 29 times. Pride, who had a million-selling hit with Kiss An Angel Good Mornin', is flying in especially to join Ryan Tubridy for the two-hour country music extravaganza.

Charlie Landsborough, whose 1994 hit What Colour is the Wind? is still a favourite among music lovers in Ireland, will also be making a special appearance.

Many familiar faces will be returning for this year's Late Late Show Country Music special

They'll join a roll-call of country music stars including Daniel O’Donnell, Nathan Carter, Derek Ryan, Lisa McHugh, Mick Flavin, Michael English, Cliona Hagan, John Hogan, Declan Nerney and Louise Morrissey.

Legends of Midlands country music including TR Dallas, Foster and Allen, and Brendan Shine will also be in studio. Queens of Country - Margo, Philomena Begley and Susan McCann - will also reunite on Friday's show for a very special performance.

Viewers can also look forward to appearances by RTÉ Irish Country Music Awards Entertainer of the Year Mike Denver and The Three Amigos - Jimmy Buckley, Robert Mizzell and Patrick Feeney - as well as Lee Matthews, Gerry Guthrie, Jimmy Devine, Johnny Brady and Marc Roberts.

And if that wasn't enough the show will kick-off with a number of big names coming together to sing the enduring hit Country Roads.
