Poldark set to return for a fourth series

Dublin actor Aidan Turner who plays Cornish captain Ross Poldark has confirmed that there will be a forth series of Poldark

Turner was taking part in a panel discussion at the BFI & Radio Times television festival at the Southbank in London when he revealed the news. “We start filming series four in September,” he declared. The third series of Poldark will go out in June on BBC 1.  

Meanwhile, the popular ITV series, The Durrells, which is once again set in the ravishing Greek island of Corfu, had its season two premiere at the BFI & Radio Times festival this weekend. The screening was followed by a discussion with the cast and crew.

 “They got some exotic new – that’s series three – some exotic new animals,” writer Simon Nye remarked. He confirmed that he has written the script, while star of the series, Keeley Hawes, is scheduled to fly to Corfu in three weeks to begin production.

Series two of The Durrells will air on ITV later in April.
