Remember La La Land's epic opening sequence? Well somehow, just somehow, an adorable teen has managed to recreate an even better (and more memorable) version of that catchy opening number.
The 17-year-old student, who looks freakishly like Ryan Gosling, recreated the musical extravaganza in a clever attempt to bring the movie's leading lady Emma Stone to his prom.
With a little help from his friends and teachers, Jacob Staudenmaier, managed to pull off one of the sweetest prom proposals in YouTube history. Like EVER!
Cue witty lyrics, hilarious prancing around traffic, and lots of colourful signpost moments to really get the message across.
“I need a date to prom I should have done it earlier but now I’ll sing a song”, Jacob sings in his choreographed video.
“Emma stone if you came I would go insane”.
The high school student admits that his voice is not the best and that people call him Ryan Gosling but "that's a bit far fetched"

The aspiring filmmaker certainly hit the right notes with viewers and is one-step closer to getting an Oscar of his own.
Fingers and toes crossed that Emma says YES! Either way, we've a feeling that this little champ won't be short of admirers on the dancefloor.
