There was much laughter at the American Country Music Awards in the US on Sunday night when presenter David Copperfield used his time onstage to poke fun at the now-infamous Best Picture mix-up at February's Oscars.
Confusion reigned supreme at February's Academy Awards when it was announced that La La Land had won Best Picture, when Moonlight was the actual winner. Presenters Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway had been given the wrong envelope - one which revealed that La La Land star Emma Stone had won Best Actress - before going onstage.

When magician Copperfield and fellow award presenter Nancy O'Dell were onstage at the American Country Music Awards in Las Vegas to present Song of the Year, Copperfield said the winner was "Emma Stone, La La Land" before announcing that Thomas Rhett was the winner for his hit Die a Happy Man.
Along with the Song of the Year gong, Rhett was also named Best Male Vocalist at the awards.

Entertainer of the Year went to Jason Aldean, while there were two awards for Miranda Lambert: Female Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year for The Weight of These Wings.
