Justin Theroux has dished about he and his wife Jennifer Aniston's trip to Mexico for her birthday, saying he organised some "special things".
In February, the Hollywood couple headed to Cabo with close friends Courteney Cox and Johnny McDaid for Aniston's 48th birthday.
"It's a great spot because it's close to L.A. You can dip over there and dip back", Theroux told E! News.
The Leftovers star was pressed further on the details of her birthday celebrations and said: "We do special things. I did a little night for her birthday where we went to a special dinner and had a piñata."
However, the piñata didn't work out exactly as intended, due to Aniston's avoidance of sweet things.
"Actually, we didn’t put anything in the piñata. We had a piñata and didn’t end up smashing it.
"What are you going to put in it? Kale? She doesn't eat candy", he explained.
The actor also spoke to Extra at CinemaCon where he revealed that he had to dial back on buying Aniston clothes or jewellery as she already has everything she needs.
"It’s always a critical moment 'cause I have Christmas, her birthday and Valentine’s Day in pretty short order," he said. "So I start shopping in November.
"I’ve given up on mass pieces of jewellery or clothes. She's got all that. It’s usually something like an amazing pair of flip-flops, something she can get cozy with.
"It’s usually something that is the easiest thing in the world - a Snuggie - or I'll figure out something like that, something fun."
Theroux previously revealed the secret to he and Aniston's marriage - their appreciation of one another's sense of humour.
The Leftovers actor and former Friends actress Aniston wed in a secret ceremony at their Los Angeles home in August 2015 after four years of dating, having first met on the set of Wanderlust in 2011.
