Former Power Rangers star Ricardo Medina Jr has been jailed for six years in the US after pleading guilty to killing his roommate with a sword.
The 38-year-old actor, who played Red Lion Wild Force Ranger/Cole Evans in the 2002 TV series Power Rangers Wild Force, was sentenced on Thursday having pleaded guilty earlier this month to the voluntary manslaughter of Josh Sutter on January 31, 2015.
Prosecutors said Medina stabbed 36-year-old Sutter multiple times at their home in California during an argument about Medina's then-girlfriend.
Medina called the emergency services and remained at the scene. In October 2016, he had pleaded not guilty to murder; a plea deal was agreed earlier this month.
Medina also voiced the character of Deker in Power Rangers Samurai in 2011 and 2012. His other screen credits include CSI: Miami and ER.
The new Power Rangers film, which does not star Medina, was released in cinemas last week.
