Author Joseph O’Connor will pay tribute to the Irish Coast Guard heroes who perished off the Mayo coast on Friday's The Late Late Show with a new specially composed poem entitled Rescue 116.
The poem was named after the rescue helicopter that crashed on March 14 during a rescue mission off the Western seaboard with the loss of four crew-members.
Also on this week's show, Ryan Tubridy will be joined by businessman Brian Lee, who started out in his teens with a grass-cutting firm. He'll be telling Ryan about turning a simple idea into a thriving business.
Big Week on the Farm is back from next Monday on RTÉ One and Patrick Shalvey will be in studio to talk about the prospects of welcoming hundreds of people to his Cavan dairy farm, with hundreds of thousands more tuning in on TV.
Also popping-in are author Lorna Byrne, whose books on angels have been translated into 30 languages, while broadcaster John Creedon and singer Calum Heaslip will also be joining Tubs for a chat.
The Late Late Show, Friday, RTÉ One at 9.35pm
