The Good Fight – a sequel to The Good Wife – lands on More4 tonight, while there's something shocking about to go down on EastEnders
Pick of the day
The Good Fight, 9.00pm, More4
Great news for fans of The Good Wife, as its Julianne Margulies-free sequel gets an airing this side of the Atlantic. The debut season consists of ten episodes, and it's been renewed for a second. Sounds promising.
The series follows Christine Baranski as Diane Lockhart, as she is forced out of Lockhart, Decker, Gussman, Lee, Lyman, Gilbert-Lurie, Kagan, Tannebaum, & Associates.
After an enormous financial scam destroys the reputation of her goddaughter Maia (Rose Leslie) and Diane's savings, they join Lucca Quinn (Cush Jumbo) at one of Chicago's pre-eminent law firms.

If you haven't seen this before you're in for a treat as it's a pretty impressive - and pretty violent - Nineties' Noir with an outstanding cast in top form.
When a powerful mob boss (played by Christopher Walken) gives ex-gangster Jimmy the Saint (Andy Garcia) one last job, it's an offer he can't refuse.
But when someone gets killed, Jimmy and his partners are marked out for a similarly unpleasant fate, leaving Jimmy just 48 hours to put things right for his buddies and the woman of his dreams.

Black-ish, All 4
One of those shows that went pretty much under the radar, this US sitcom is in its third season and better than most (not too difficult these days, admittedly), and stars Anthony Anderson as Dre Johnson Sr.
He's an African American advertising executive who feels a little out of place in a WASP-y world and tries to pass on some of his urban culture to his seemingly uninterested upper middle class children.
His wife, played by Motown legend Diana Ross's daughter, Tracee Ellis Ross, is biracial and was raised by hippies. Laurence Fishburne also turns up regularly as Earl 'Pops' Johnson, Dre's father.

Today's Guilty Pleasure
The Restaurant, 9.00pm, TV3
Taking on the challenge this week is not one but two chefs as fashion duo Sonya Lennon and Brendan Courtney get their aprons on.
They'll be serving a three-course meal to critics Tom Doorley, Marco Pierre White and food writer Ross Golden Bannon, who turns out to be a neighbour of Sonya Lennon.
Sonya’s main course dish is Beef Wellington with Deedee’s chicken liver pâté, while Brendan goes for a gamey dish of quail breast and ravioli of confit quail leg with Mud Island green.
Does no one eat spag bol anymore?
