A "gutted" Danny Mac has said he does not understand how he made a mistake in his quickstep during the final of Strictly Come Dancing over the weekend.
The actor and professional partner Oti Mabuse lost out on the glitterball trophy to BBC sports presenter Ore Oduba and partner Joanne Clifton in the final, which is decided by a public vote.

"My only pressure was I didn't want to make any mistakes and I think I put that pressure on myself a bit too much," the former Hollyoaks star admitted on BBC Breakfast on Monday.
"We take risks and Oti added a whole other round on the dancefloor the day before because we wanted to please Len [Goodman, head judge] and put more choreography into it. And that bit went OK, surprisingly enough, and then the bit I had known for the last 10 weeks went wrong."

Mac described the quickstep as "one of those dances where, if one thing goes wrong, you can't hide it.
"We are joined together at the hip and I still do not know what happened," he continued.
"I must have just missed a step, I can't put my finger on it. I was gutted."
Mac and Mabuse made Strictly history when they became the first couple to receive a perfect score of 40 for the samba earlier in the series.

"I just didn't want it to be worse than the first time because the first time had gone so well so the chances of it being worse were actually quite high. But it wasn't - it felt electric," he said.
"We stood there on stage and just soaked it in, the last time we were going to do it on stage live on telly.
"We are such great friends and such a brilliant team, to be half of it was the best feeling."
