Dame Shirley Bassey has said she would be keen to record another James Bond song.
The 79-year-old singer has recorded the themes to three Bond films over the years; Goldfinger, Diamonds Are Forever and Moonraker.
Speaking to David Walliams in a BBC special celebrating her career as she approaches her 80th birthday, she said her nerves have not gone away after more than 50 years.
She confessed that Goldfinger, which was released in 1964, still terrifies her when performing.
“It's a little terrifying because I know that note is coming at the end, and it's very nerve-wracking, am I going to make that note?"
Walliams asked if it was true that she passed out while recording the hit.
Dame Shirley said “Not quite, but I did go blue in the face, because I had to hold the note until the credits finished. And John Barry was saying 'hold it hold it'.”
On the possibility of recording a fourth Bond track, she said, “Yes, why not!”
The next Bond film is expected to be released in 2018, with no artist yet linked to the film's song, let alone any idea who will be playing 007.
To honour the Welsh star ahead of her 80th birthday in January, Walliams met her for the one-off television special, which will include live performances and comedy.
During the episode, Dame Shirley said that she would find it difficult to perform without her impressive glitzy stage outfits.
She said, "When I realise when I started, and I turned up in my first show, and my director said 'where's your gown?' and I said 'Oh you didn't tell me I have to have a gown'.
"And somebody loaned me a long fishnet skirt and somebody else loaned me a strapless merry widow which in those days was an undergarment, and I used it as a top.
"And I had one of those elastic big belts and I did a top note at the end of the song and the belt came undone and the skirt started to drop and I grabbed it and ran off stage. Only to be told 'next time you stay on stage and let it drop!"'
