Ryan Reynolds unveiled his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame - and heaped praise on his wife and fellow actor, Blake Lively.
The Tinseltown couple and their two young daughters made their first public appearance as a family at the ceremony on Hollywood Boulevard.
29-year-old Lively gave birth to their second child - whose name has not been released publicly - in September, while their eldest daughter James turns two today, Friday Dec 16.
Accepting his star, Reynolds (40) said: "This is an incredible moment for me on so many levels. I want to thank my wife, Blake, who is sitting right there who is everything to me.
"You are the best thing - the best thing - that has ever happened to me, second only to this star. It's the Hollywood Walk of Fame, cut me some slack here," he joked.
"You make absolutely everything in my life better. You've given me two of the most incredible children that I could ever hoped to have.
"You've made me the father of my dreams when I thought I only had 'fun uncle' potential."
Reynolds also paid tribute to his father James, who died last year after battling Parkinson's disease.
"He never made things easy on anyone, especially himself," Reynolds said. "He would have got a real kick out of this. This is also for him."
Reynolds won his star after it was revealed this week he had earned a Golden Globe nomination for his performance in superhero movie Deadpool.
The Canadian is up for best actor in a comedy or musical at the awards show in January. He also won two Critics' Choice Awards last Sunday for best actor in a comedy and entertainer of the year.
Reynolds and Lively, who starred in 2016 thriller The Shallows, married in 2012. He was previously engaged to singer Alanis Morissette and married to actress Scarlett Johansson from 2008 to 2011.
