Saturday Night Live took aim at President-elect Donald Trump's unconventional Twitter habits in its cold open last night, and what did Trump do? He tweeted about it.
Alec Baldwin revived his much-lauded Trump impression for the sketch, which saw his President-elect perennially distracted by Twitter throughout an important security briefing.
Baldwin's Trump retweets a 16-year-old high school student from California named Seth, something he actually did, while musing that "Seth seems so cool".
Kate McKinnon returns as his campaign manager Kellyanne Conway, interjecting with: "There is a reason that Donald tweets so much. He does it to distract the media from his business conflicts and all the very scary people in his cabinet."
"Actually, that's not why I do it. I do it because my brain is bad," Baldwin's Trump replies.
Trump couldn't resist taking to Twitter once more to voice his displeasure at the sketch, saying: "Just tried watching Saturday Night Live - unwatchable! Totally biased, not funny and the Baldwin impersonation just can't get any worse. Sad."

Like before, Baldwin had a response at the ready, writing back to the President-elect: "Release your tax returns and I'll stop. Ha."

Release your tax returns and I'll stop.
Ha
The sketch continues with Baldwin's Trump promising to "buckle down", but minutes later he's retweeting more people and singing "Oops I did it again".
He later tells McKinnon's Conway that he wants to "build that swamp", while she replies in a panic: "Don't you mean drain the swamp and build the wall?"
"No that's too many things, just smoosh them together. Smoosh!" he retorts.
The sketch also riffs on Trump's dislike of the press using unflattering photos of him, his dinner with Mitt Romney and depict his chief strategist Steve Bannon as the Grim Reaper.
