Despite voting to save her from Sunday night's sing-off, Simon Cowell has said controversial X Factor contestant Honey G "will not win this show".
Honey G entered into the sing-off with Scottish singer Ryan Lawrie, who performed a rendition of Ed Sheeran's Lego House, which proved to be no match in the judge's eyes for his competition's mash-up of Missy Elliott hits Get Your Freak On and Work It.
Cowell, Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne opted to save Honey G, with only Nicole Scherzinger voting to keep Ryan in the competition.
At the time of making his judgement, Cowell said, "For me, the one who felt they wanted to stay in more, based on that, was Honey G."

Speaking on The Xtra Factor after the main show however, Cowell said he doesn't see the singer going all the way to the top. The music mogul also explained his decision in greater detail saying he felt like Ryan's time had come to leave the series.
"You have to make a call in the moment, and I think if we’re being honest with each other, watching the show last night, I can see a very very clear three or four people who’ve got a real shot," Cowell said.
"I don’t think Ryan would have gone any further. I think he’s done brilliant to go as far as he has… Whatever you do, you’re going to be unpopular, but the truth is, unless Honey performs a miracle, she’s not going to win this show."

Honey G's success in the competition has baffled many viewers, with a petition being set up to have her booted off the show during the early rounds of the series.
Her continued presence could also have an impact on the winner's single that has reportedly been written by none other than hitmaker, Ed Sheeran.
According to The Sun, should Honey G win the series, Sheeran's song will not be used for her first release.
"Everything Ed does turns to gold," The Sun quote a source as saying. "To have him write the winner's song is huge and amazing news for this year's winner. All the remaining contestants have heard the track and it works for the majority.
"The only chance his song won't get used is if 5Am or Honey G pull off a shock win. Then bosses might need to consider another one of their options."
Catching up on #XFactor. Confused as to why people think it's a talent show? It's variety entertainment. #HoneyG for the win!!!! 😉
