Jim Royle himself swaps his armchair for the sofa tonight as actor Ricky Tomlinson joins Ray on tonight’s Ray D’Arcy Show.

Tonight’s lineup has been revealed and the popular comedian and The Royle Family star will be talking to Ray about his time with the show, as well as his time on Brookside, and the letter of support he sent to the water protesters in Jobstown.

Also joining Ray on the couch for tonight’s show will be former Munster and Ireland rugby star Donncha O’Callaghan.

Former RTÉ soccer pundit John Giles and current pundit Eamon Dunphy will also be on the sofa.

As the duo prepare to take the stage for their upcoming Vicar Street shows next month, they will be talking to Ray about why they have chosen to have their Christmas party live on stage.

Also on tonight's show, Obesity expert Dr Eva Orsmond speaks to Ray sharing her concerns about the challenges facing Ireland when it comes to weight loss, as well as the abuse of both prescription and over the counter pills.
