Irish actress Evanna Lynch and her boyfriend Robbie Jarvis, who met on the set of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, have parted ways.

Lynch played Luna Lovegood in four Harry Potter films, while Jarvis played the teenage James Potter in 2007's The Order of the Phoenix.

They confirmed their relationship in April 2015, but now the 25-year-old actress from Termonfeckin in Co Louth has revealed that they have split up.

Speaking on the red carpet at the premiere of the Potter spin-off Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, she told Us Weekly that they were no longer in a romantic relationship.

"No, but we’re still friends,' she said, adding that shared interests would keep them in touch.

"We're both vegans, so we go to a lot of vegan events together."

Lynch regularly posted photos of Jarvis on her Instagram account and just three weeks ago, Jarvis posted a throwback photo of them in New Zealand, revealing that she influenced him to stop eating meat and embrace a plant based diet.

"She pushed me, of course, because she knew I could take it", he wrote. "And I'll forever be grateful that she did because, as unpleasant as that conversation had been, by the time I landed in London my mind was whirring with the beginnings of an enormous realisation. That holiday was the last time I ate meat and I pity the boy in this photo who had more in common with those sheep than he realised. I'm happy to say that I'm now much closer to knowing the true cost of my food."

Since Harry Potter, Lynch has starred in the film My Name Is Emily and the BBC TV movie Danny and the Human Zoo, while Jarvis has guest-starred on EastEnders and Upstairs Downstairs.
