Keith Duffy suffered more than a little embarrassment as he was left nursing a swollen testicle after an overeager fan slipped and grabbed what she could to try and break her fall.
He and Brian McFadden have been singing their respective boyband hits and telling stories to Westlife and Boyzone fans in hotel venues on their sell-out Boyzlife tour.
But Duffy was lost for words when a fan accidentally grabbed his privates at a concert in Leeds, and Brian McFadden outlined what happened, in an interview The Irish Sun.
"This woman went to grab Keith by the neck but slipped and ended up grabbing anything she could," he recalled. "I know Keith got a swollen testicle from it. Did it hurt? Of course it hurt. Have you ever had your balls squeezed? It hurts."
McFadden also noted that the intimate shows, a mix of tunes and talk, had fans sitting just a few feet from the two pop stars, which resulted in some fans behaving inappropriately.
"In Belfast we had fans screaming at us from the front row like they were on Gogglebox," says McFadden. "We literally couldn't tell our stories until they stopped. There were other girls trying to dance up the front with their drinks in their hands like it was a pop concert."
