Britain's Got Talent star Susan Boyle has said she is looking for romance and would `like someone’ in her life.

Speaking to the Mail on Sunday, the talent show runner-up said: “I can be loving and loyal, and then sometimes I can be pretty hard to get."

Asked if the relationship with a doctor, whom she met in Florida during a US tour, was on-going, Boyle replied: "Well, I just haven’t seen him for a while. He’s a nice man, he took me out for a meal and we got friendly, you know. Everyone was going daft looking for me and there I was with this lovely guy.”

She added: "I’d like to see him more. But I’m very busy, and it’s been a long time but I would like someone. I’m very sensitive."

In the interview, Boyle, who releases her new album A Wonderful World in late November, also discussed Asperger’s with which she was diagnosed in 2013. The singer revealed that "communication can be difficult because I can’t find the right words or phrases."

The death of her sister Bridie in October 2015 has also been hard to deal with. "I found it hard when she went. I couldn’t cry at her funeral," Boyle said. "I felt frustrated, I didn’t want to allow my emotions to come out."
