Strictly Come Dancing contestant Laura Whitmore has said she has "no tears left" after she was ruled out of last Saturday's show with an ankle injury.
While still in pain, the television presenter will make her dancefloor return with professional partner Giovanni Pernice on BBC One this weekend, for a tango to the Rolling Stones' Paint It Black.

On spin-off show It Takes Two on Wednesday on BBC Two, Whitmore shared her upset about missing out on dancing the jive last weekend. She said she had been determined to dance, even though she couldn't walk properly.

"You spend a while learning a dance, you choreograph it and then we really didn't know right up to the day whether I could dance it or not," she explained. "I feel like there are no tears left to come out anymore because it wasn't easy."
Rather than attend last Saturday's show, Whitmore decided to watch it at home.
"My best friend, who's the biggest Strictly fan from Dublin, had flown over to sit in the audience to watch," she recounted. "So I had to be like, 'How do you feel about sitting at home and watching it with me while I'll probably be crying, eating a Chinese takeaway?' Which is what I did."
Back to training....I'm quite a bit behind and being very careful. But will try my best guys! https://t.co/ZRoo0s5QTy

Having just returned to training, Whitmore said she and Pernice are being "extra-cautious", even though they are playing catch-up.
"I'm trying to think positive," she said. "The tango is quite a stern face; it's Halloween, so I can just work with the emotions and use it to my advantage."
"It's going to be painful on Saturday but the doctors decided that it's not going to do any damage," the Bray native added. "We don't want to think about the injury and I don't want to use the injury as an excuse."
