In a definite first for The Late Late, Joe Dolan will sing from beyond the grave when country heartthrob Nathan Carter teams up with the late Mullingar man using the magic of archive footage on Friday's show.
Wagon Wheel star Carter will perform with Dolan, who passed away in December 2007, for a unique performance of Joe's hit Make Me an Island with accompaniment by the RTÉ Concert Orchestra.
The legendary showband singer enjoyed huge success across Ireland for over four decades with hits such as The Answer to Everything and Good Looking Woman and spawned the phrase 'There's no show like a Joe Show' from the adverts promoting his gigs.
Carter will also join a panel discussion celebrating the enduring legacy of Dolan on the Irish music scene alongside Joe’s brother Ben Dolan and Sunday World journalist Eddie Rowley.

The Late Late Show is giving Joe and Nathan’s fans a chance to see this unique performance with two tickets for Friday night’s show up for grabs.
Fans have to post a video of themselves singing a favourite Joe Dolan song to The Late Late Show’s Facebook account or on Twitter using #latelatejoe or, for those who are a bit shy, they can send the video to latelateextra@rte.ie before Thursday morning.

Going down the Country and Western route delivered the Late Late Show with one of its biggest audiences last year.
A country music special saw 740,000 people tuning in to enjoy performances from Nathan Carter along with Irish country icons Big Tom, Daniel O'Donnell and Philomena Begley.

Meanwhile Friday night's show will also feature an interview with chat-show rival Graham Norton who will be talking about his debut novel Holding.
Last week it was confirmed that his bestseller about a murder in the fictional Co. Cork town of Duneen would be turned into a TV series after the rights were snapped up. The Cork man joked that the novel had been sold "for millions and millions of pounds".
And as if that wasn't enough there will also be a special pre-recorded interview with Canadian crooner Michael Bublé. The Grammy Award winning singer will also be performing performing a track from his new album Nobody But Me.
