Love/Hate star Killian Scott has landed the lead role in a new TV pilot, Damnation, for the USA Network after the part was recast.

The Irish star began working on the project this week, after original leading man Aden Young departed the role over 'creative differences'.

Damnation is described as an "epic saga of the secret history of the 1930s American heartland, chronicling the mythic conflict and bloody struggle between big money and the downtrodden, God and greed, charlatans and prophets."

Scott, who's best know for his role as Tommy in Love/Hate, will play Seth Davenport, a man with a violent past living in a small town in Iowa. Pretending to be a preacher, he really hopes of inciting an uprising.

Focused on his mission, he is unaware that an industrialist tycoon has hired a professional strikebreaker to stop the uprising by whatever means necessary. Unbeknownst to those around them, these two men already share a secret bloody past.

The actor was last seen in the Irish thriller, Traders, in which his (impressively buffed) character became involved in a literal 'fight to the death' scheme of survival run by Game of Thrones John Bradley.

The Fight Club premise involved two strangers emptying their banks accounts and putting their entire worth in cash into a green sports bag. They then travel to a remote location and it's winner/survivor takes all.
