Operation Transformation host Kathryn Thomas believes it is the support and words of encouragement from viewers throughout Ireland which helps to make the show a success.
Thomas, who is now in her seventh season of presenting the show, admits it is "mental" how the health and fitness programme has "grown legs" over the last decade.
Speaking to RTÉ Entertainment about the show's success, Thomas says, "It is a TV show that belongs to the Irish public now. Every year viewers have their say and there's just so much involvement from communities throughout Ireland. I think we are going to see even more involvement in 2017. Bring it on!"

"I would say to anybody who has cried themselves to sleep at night over their weight, or anyone who is afraid to take off their bits and pieces in the bedroom in front of their partner because they are embarrassed, or anybody whose self-esteem is on the floor - just fill out the form!
"Equally, if you know someone who is struggling with their weight, let them know that they can get support in a safe environment," Thomas added.
Thomas admits that it isn't easy for the leaders' every moves to be played out on TV, but insists the continued support from communities throughout Ireland makes a huge difference.
"It is a very intrusive place to be in terms of having all of the media and the whole of Ireland watching but in a way that's why the show works. The consistent support from the public is what really helps make the show a success," she added.
