Girl on the Train star Justin Theroux has said he is "very proud" of how his wife Jennifer Aniston handles the "stresses that have been put on her."
Aniston has recently been dragged into the media storm following the news that her ex-husband Brad Pitt was to divorce Angelina Jolie, but her current husband Justin Theroux is impressed by his "badass" wife and how she handles herself.
"[Jennifer] is a proper badass. She has lived through a lot of bulls***," Theroux is quoted by Contact Music as saying.
"Many people would have crumbled under some of the stresses that have been put on her. I'm very proud of her for that, for the way she handles herself."
On the topic of being seen as 'Mr Jennifer Aniston', Theroux added, "In a weird way, it's an honour to stand behind her. Truly, in that sense, she's amazing."
While Aniston is yet to address the topic of the Brangelina divorce, Theroux previously labelled it "terrible news" for Pitt and Jolie's six children.
"As a child of divorce, all I can say is that's terrible news for those children, and that's all I can really say. It's boring to sort of comment on anything else. People are having a bad time – that's horrible," he told Business Insider.
Theroux also said that it was "nonsense" that he and Aniston be included in reports about the divorce adding, "There's an endless appetite for trash, apparently, though everyone would say that they don't have that appetite. But I think a lot of people do because people buy it.
"It's shocking how much bandwidth things can take up when there are far more important things going on in the world."
