Victoria Beckham didn't mince her words about the Spice Girls reunion, saying they shouldn't sing the band's hit singles as it "might be a bit sad".
The revived girl band features Geri Horner, Melanie Brown and Emma Bunton while Beckham and Melanie Chisholm have declined to take part.
The popstar-turned-fashion designer has now given her two cents on the trio, saying she thinks they need some new material.
Victoria Beckham thinks the Spice Girls reunion could be "a bit sad"
When asked by The Sunday Times Style magazine if she wished the trio well, she replied: "Of course, as a new group, I do.
"I do think they should sing new material, though, because what we did as the Spice Girls was so special," she added.
"If they sang Spice Girls songs, I think I might be a bit sad."
Melanie Chisholm - formerly Sporty Spice - won't be taking part in the Spice Girls reunion
Beckham's ex-bandmate Chisholm previously revealed why she decided not to take part, saying "something didn't feel quite right and I had to follow my gut".
"There's a lot to be said for bowing out on a high note," she told Love magazine earlier this year.
The new Spice Girls trio - Geri, Emma and Mel B
Geri, Emma and Mel B want to bring the band back together as they celebrate 20 years since the release of their breakthrough debut hit single Wannabe, which rocketed them to global fame.
In July, they posted a video to say a big thank you to their fans for sticking by them over the two decades.
There were also some very unsubtle hints that a reunion gig may be on the cards with Mel B announcing that "we want to celebrate and have a party" before the other two join in and declare that "when we do, you're all invited!".
The video ends with text which says "This a celebration for you....We hope to tell you soon".
However, no further information has been forthcoming about their planned reunion, which is rumoured to be a live gig in Hyde Park in London.
During the bands heyday in the nineties, the Spice Girls managed to sell more than 80 million records, making them the best-selling female group of all time.
All five band members last performed together at the closing ceremony of the Olympics in 2012 where they performed Wannabe and Spice Up Your Life.
