Two Irish contestants are among the 18 hopefuls that will be fighting to work with Alan Sugar on the new season of The Apprentice UK.

With a name like Dillon St Paul, it seems like the 37-year-old Dubliner is destined to be famous. If the freelance art director sounds familiar to you, it might be because he's appeared in RTÉ2 reality show Fade Street alongside Vogue Williams.

St Paul is a freelance art director at Irish fashion magazine Stellar and describes himself as super-creative, talented, and very funny. He intends to be Machiavellian about tasks and says he will tell white lies if he needs to.

In his introductory video for the show, he says: "Sometimes batting the eyelashes can get you a lot in business. Hence, the mascara comes in handy - so they can see those lashes."

The second hopeful is 31-year-old Gráinne McCoy from Newry, Co Down. The makeup studio owner believes her hunger and passion will push her to succeed and says she puts everything she's made of into her projects.

McCoy feels confident in doing well in the series but admits she needs "guidance and a little bit of mentoring" to help her make her first million.
