Laura Whitmore has revealed that she feels "physically ill" ahead of her debut appearance on Strictly Come Dancing on Friday night.
The Bray-born TV presenter chatted to Eoghan McDermott on 2fm about taking to the Strictly ballroom, saying: "I feel physically ill; I don’t think I’ve ever been this nervous."
The former I'm A Celebrity host gave fans a sneak peek of what they can expect from her dancing debut when she posted a short clip on her Instagram page, which shows her rehearsing withe her professional partner Giovanni Pernice.
Judging by the clip, it looks like she doesn't have much to worry about, but the 31-year-old presenter captioned the image: "No more rehearsal... #BBCStrictly tomorrow 9pm BBC1 - God help us all."
Whitmore joked with McDermott about her dancing partner's tips to her. "He keeps telling me to close my legs! He keeps saying 'Laura, your patatina is showing'; I looked it up; it means 'little potato'!"
She said that her parents can't make it over to London for the first live episode of the BBC show, so she's bringing her 'fake mum and dad', Joe Swash and Stacy Solomon.
Once she wraps with Strictly, Whitmore will be taking to the stage again for the new show Not Dead Enough, based on bestselling author Peter James' novel, which is coming to Dublin’s Bord Gais Energy Theatre next year.
