Adventurer Bear Grylls is returning to Ireland after filming an episode of his show here recently to make an appearance on The Late Late Show this Friday.

The master survivalist recently filmed an episode of his popular series Running Wild earlier this year with former Friends star Courteney Cox, and he genuinely panicked her with his Irish dinner suggestions.

Grylls will be chatting to Ryan Tubridy about that and also about putting US President Barack Obama through his paces on the show, as well as dishing on what happened with Spice Girl Mel B and her help with THAT jellyfish sting (think of that famous Friends episode and you're on the right track!).

However most eyes will be on the main interview of the night with Minister of State John Halligan who will be discussing his stance over the second 'cath lab' facility at Waterford General Hospital.

No doubt he will also be asked about his recent newspaper interview in which he threatened to "bring all hell down" on the government if it failed to approve the facility and whether he is prepared to stay the course in government.

Wedding Crashers star and acting legend Jane Seymour will also be appearing on the show to talk about life on and off screen while Irish musician BP Fallon will join Ryan to talk about his rock 'n' roll years, including meeting music legends such as David Bowie.

Anna May McHugh will be in studio to tell Ryan about what's in store with the hugely popular Ploughing Championships which kick off in Offaly next week and to neatly tie in with that, world record sheep shearer Ivan Scott will be demonstrating his considerable skills live in studio,

The Late Late Show Friday, RTÉ One at 9.35pm.
