Barbara Windsor departed her role as the much-loved Peggy Mitchell in emotional scenes this year, but the long-running EastEnders actress has revealed that she's already plotting her return.
Peggy Mitchell took her own life after being diagnosed with terminal cancer in May and was laid to rest in July, but the character's demise hasn't stopped Windsor from hoping to make a dramatic return at some point.
She told The Sun: "I would love Peggy to come back on as a ghost - I'd definitely be up for it. I'd love that as I'd have been able to have had a rest for a little bit.
"I'm going to have to talk to the producers so they can find a way of doing that. I'm still in touch with them all so it would be easy.
"When I went back for my last scenes I said, 'I'll get Grant back for you', and of course he came back, didn't he?"
The formidable Mitchell clan
Windsor's idea isn't too much of a stretch given that the soap brought back Peggy's friend Pat Butcher (Pam St Clement) as a ghost for Mitchell's final scenes.

Windsor revealed that she was unwell after leaving the show, and still hasn't watched Peggy's finale episode.
"I didn't feel too well for a little while afterwards," she said. "I really grieved for her."
