Cold Feet has returned to our TV screens after a 13 year absence, and it looks like viewers are as enamoured as ever with the show.

The fifth series of the popular ITV comedy-drama aired in 2003, when over 11 million viewers in the UK tuned in to watch Rachel's funeral after she died in a road crash.

The sixth season picks up over a decade later, as the rest of the gang are now in middle-age.

Adam (James Nesbitt) returns to Manchester after years of travelling the world on business. His teenage son has Karen (Hermione Norris) as guardian, while her former husband David (Robert Bathurst) is coming to the end of his second marriage.

Meanwhile, Pete (John Thomson) and Jenny (Fay Ripley) are struggling with a huge mortgage that has severely impacted on their lives.

The first episode of the new season was an unquestionable hit among Twitter users, with fans commending the return of the series while newcomers were also impressed.
