Ros na Rún stars Máire Éilis Ní Fhlatharta and Domhnall O’Donoghue were among the TV stars who gathered at last week's TG4 Autumn launch.
It's going to a busy 21st season for the Galway-based soap opera, which returns to TG4 on Tuesday. What with the emotional farewell to one of the show's long-standing characters, murder, the discovery of a dead body, and a shock pregnancy, there'll be plenty of watercooler moments.
"Well, we're 21 years on the road. Happy birthday to Ros na Rún," says Máire Éilis Ní Fhlatharta, who plays Caitríona. "We've been through so many stories and - believe it or not - there are plenty more to come.
"My character Caitríona has been involved in many a love triangle, but she's fairly settled now, back with her husband and, I'm sure, minding her family life this year."
Domhnall O’Donoghue plays Pádraig. "My character this season is very much a careerist," he explains. "He's looking into his future and he wants to earn lots of money, he wants to climb the ladder to success, so he's going to take the plunge and open up his new business."
