Netflix has confirmed that its sleeper summer hit Stranger Things will return for a second season.
Winona Ryder stars in the supernatural horror drama that gives more than the odd nod to 1980s pop culture, and genre films of that decade by the likes of John Carpenter and Steven Spielberg.
The plot follows the disappearance of a young boy, and a telekinetic girl who helps his friends in their search, while the boy's older brother, mother, and the town police chief start their own investigations.
Stranger Things 2 will debut in 2017. And while no date has been set for the second run's launch date, it's likely that the show will return in the summer.
