Reese Witherspoon has revealed that Elle Woodscould soon be bending and snapping her way back to the silver screen.

Witherspoon has been toying with fans over a return to her role as Woods in the Legally Blonde films, declaring last October that “I think we’re ready to see Elle and see what she’s up to lately”.

The actress, who won an Oscar for her role in Walk the Line, was in contact with fans during a recent Facebook Live session.

She revealed that reopening the pink wardrobe is something that has been on her mind, and is open to the idea of returning to the role.

“(Legally Blonde) was really fun,” she said. “A lot of people have asked me if we’re going to make another Legally Blonde, and we’re thinking about it”.

Following the release of Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde in 2003, there had been little talk of another sequel until last year when Witherspoon said writers had come up with some ideas.

The original film was adapted into a Broadway musical in 2007.

Witherspoon also reflected on a potential follow-up to Sweet Home Alabama. “We are not making a sequel that I know of,” she said. “But if Disney wants to make a sequel, they can just call me: I would happily make Sweet Home Alabama 2.”
