Strictly Come Dancing star Brendan Cole is among the guests on the final programme in this year's run of Saturday Night with Miriam.

As well as talking to Cole about his experiences as a professional dancer on the hit BBC show, host Miriam O'Callaghan will also be checking out the local talent when she is joined by some Irish ballroom dancing champions. 

Pat Shortt and director Gerard Barrett will be in studio to talk about their moving new drama Smalltown, which begins next Thursday on TV3.

Also, Irish Paralympians Deirdre Mongan, a seated thrower/shot-putter; and Orla Comerford, an 18-year-old visually-impaired sprinter, both join Miriam to talk about their final preparations before they head to Rio.

Comedienne Deirdre O'Kane will be dropping by to chat about her upcoming show at The Tiger Dublin Fringe Festival and her decision to quit London and return to live in Ireland. 

Plus there will be music from Peppy, the winner of the show's 'New Music' call out.
