Where the streets have no name? Not quite - all four of Bono's kids have posed for a moody, black and white photo outside their dad's old house in Glasnevin on Dublin's Northside.

The U2 frontman's actress daughter Eve (25) posed with her siblings - Jordan (27), Elijah (17) and John (15) - outside the semi-D on Cedarwood Road and posted it to her Instagram account.

Bono named a song after the leafy suburban road for U2's most recent album, Songs of Innocence.

U2 are currently in the studio working on the follow up to that album and earlier in the summer,, the Edge said it was still the band's intention to release new material this year.

In an interview with US music trade publication Billboard, the guitarist said: "We are still busting our ass to try to get it out this year. That's our plan right now and exactly when, we're not sure."

The Edge - "We're really doing our best to get it out this year"

He also said that he had worked on 50 pieces of music for the new record, which is expected to be called Songs of Experience. While he conceded that "a U2 album plan has been known to be revised", he said the "working assumption" is for a 2016 release.

"This is our ambition," he continued. "It could change, but we're really doing our best to get it out this year."

In March, the Edge told Rolling Stone that U2 hoped to be back on tour "sooner rather than later". When asked by Billboard for an update on the time frame, he replied: "That statement still holds true. Short of announcing the plan, which I can't right now, we're still on target to get out there sooner rather than later."
