Dublin duo All Tvvins say they wanted to capture the spirit of the Olympic Games on at least one song from their acclaimed debut album, IIVV.

Lar Kaye and Conor Adams, who were previously members of Dublin bands Cast of Cheers and Adebisi Shank, told RTÉ Entertainment that they were thinking of the Rio games when they wrote their recent single Unbelievable.

"It's weird because it's hard to make a triumphant, joyous song without being cheesy or deemed as cheesy and we saw that as a challenge," says Adams.

"When we wrote that song we were talking about the Olympics and this was months and months ago. We wanted to write an Olympics tune but not in terms of the Olympics but more the vibe of the spirit because even now watching the game, seeing somebody winning, it's something special every four years, something triumphant. It's that mixed with a bit of quantum theory."

All Tvvins have never made any secret of just how ambitious they are and having supported Kodaline and Foals, they've seen the big league up close and they liked what they saw.

"That was mega inspirational," says Adams. "Watching Kodaline every night was pure inspiring. To see how they control the crowd, to see that level of live music as well, you just want to be part of that. You want to do something similar."
