Grace Jones, DJ Shadow, hip hop pioneers The Sugarhill Gang and Dublin extreme noise merchants Girl Band are among the first acts announced for Metropolis this November in Dublin.
Described as a festival of "music, performance, conversation and installation", this is the second edition of the indoor event and it will take place from November 3 to 5 in The Shelbourne Hall at the RDS.
The inclusion of Jones in the line-up will come as good news for those who didn’t secure tickets for her separate gig at Dublin’s Olympia on September 21.

Also announced for Metropolis are Solomun, Moderat, SBTRKT (DJ set), Booka Shade - Movements 10, BADBADNOTGOOD, Crystal Castles, Fatima Yamaha, and Fakear, with more announcements over the coming weeks.
This year promoters have introduced a new Ticket Instalment Plan, which will allow fans left financially done in by the summer festival season to purchase all tickets by paying 50% now and settling the remainder of the balance before October 3. This option will only be available until the end of August.
